This webinar will feature two presentations focused on the role of physical activity (PA) in early childhood education (ECE) settings and its impact on child development. Together, these presentations underscore the importance of PA policies and professional development in supporting the physical activity needs of young children in ECE settings.

1) Infant and Toddler Physical Activity in Texas Early Childhood Education (ECE) Centers: The first presentation will highlight a study examining the relationship between PA policies and best practices for infant and toddler PA in Texas ECE centers.

2) Preschooler Physical Activity and the Quality Improvement Rating System in Texas Child Care Centers: A cross-sectional survey of Practices, policies, and Professional Development: The second presentation will explore the impact of Texas' Texas Rising Star (TRS) quality rating system on preschooler PA.
