Texas chapter COMMITTEEs

• Advocacy: The purpose of the committee shall be to influence state and national legislation, policies, and programs that have implications for health education practice and public's health.

• Communication: works to maintain the TSOPHE website updated, develop media kit campaigns for TSOPHE events, and manages the development and delivery of TSOPHE's monthly newsletter.

• Continuing Education: works with the Program Planning Committee to provide CECH, CHES, and MCHES credits to active participants and attendees in TSOPHE's workshops, conferences, and continuing education events.

• Membership: Manages all active TSOPHE members, and works with institutions of higher education and other organizations to recruit new members.

• Professional Preparation: acts as a consultant to the universities in the professional preparation of community, public health educators.

• Program Planning: coordinates all TSOPHE events, from the annual webinar series, workshops, and the bi-annual TSOPHE conference.
