Presenters:
Arshia Verma is a rising junior at UT Austin majoring in neuroscience and pursuing a certificate in computer science in the Polymathic Scholars honors program. She enjoys advocating for eating disorder-related policy and conducting undergraduate research. Currently, she is researching the genetic predisposition to binge drinking behavior and the activity of neuroimmune cells in the development of autism.
Aryan Reddy is a rising sophomore at UT Austin pursuing a dual-degree in Biology & the Plan II Honors Program. He’s an active policy advocate at the Harvard Strategic Training Initiative for the Prevention of Eating Disorders, battling against eating disorders and the sales of harmful diet supplements through legislative efforts. He also advocates for lung cancer screening and is an avid researcher, conducting research on vascular/endovascular surgery, venous disease, clinical cardiology and adolescent medicine.
Tisya Verma is a rising sophomore at Elkins High School. She is passionate about biology, technology, and advocacy. She hopes to continue using her interests to advocate for more regulation and safety laws for the public health of youth.
